The CARES program was developed by Wild Womyn in response to significant losses incurred by members in the aftermath of the Alameda Fire. The program has continued to provide ongoing support to Rogue Womxn members during times of emergency needs such as loss of income or unexpected medical bills with resulting housing instability, food insecurity, etc.
